Enchilada Plate Sale

Member of Comunidades de Base are sponsoring a Enchilada Plate Sale on Sunday, March 2nd from 11am to 2pm at the Parish Hall in Edcouch. The plate includes three enchiladas, rice, beans and a jalapeño. The cost of one plate is $10.00.

Liturgy Committee Meeting

The Liturgy Committee will be on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7pm to plan for the Season of Lent and Easter. All mass coordinators, sacristans, a representative from each choir and the altar server coordinators are asked to attend this meeting.

La Villa Knights of Columbus Fish Fry

The La Villa Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Fish Fry every Friday during the Season of Lent from 11am—1:30pm at OLG Church courtyard. The cost of the plate is $10.00. It includes 2 pieces of fried fish, fries, coleslaw, rice, capirotada and corn tortillas.

Financial Responsibility Class

Join us for a class on financial responsibility, tailored for parishioners, especially young couples. Learn about budgeting, investments, home purchasing, and financial planning. Two representatives from New York Life will lead the course. The class will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25th at 7:00pm in one of the classrooms in Edcouch.

Únase a nosotros para una clase sobre responsabilidad financiera, diseñada especialmente para  feligreses, especialmente parejas jóvenes. Aprenda sobre presupuestos, inversiones, compra de viviendas y planificación financiera. Ireland Pilgrimage Planning Meeting

Interested in a pilgrimage to Ireland this July? Attend our first planning meeting on Sunday, March 2nd, at 4:00 PM at the parish hall in Edcouch. Travel dates: Monday, June 30th to Thursday, July 10th. Trip cost: $4,790.00 USD.

Honda HR-V 2025 Car Raffle

Our parish communities of St. Theresa and Our Lady of Guadalupe, along with four other churches, are excited to announce our participation in a Multi-Parish Car Raffle. We will be raffling a 2025 Honda HR-V. The drawing will take place on Sunday, April 27th, at 1:30 PM in Edcouch. Each family in Edcouch and La Villa will receive 30 tickets to sell. The cost per ticket is $5.00. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our benefactors, Carlos Garza and Clark Knapp Honda, for donating the car. Additionally, we are grateful to Clark Knapp Honda for covering half of the cost of printing the tickets, and to Dr. Joel Martinez for covering the other half. We appreciate all their generous contributions!

Annual Pro-Life Conference 2025

This year's theme is "Defending Life When Life is Threatened, At Every Stage, Before and After Birth." The conference will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School Gym in McAllen, TX from 8:30am - 1pm. The sacredness of all human life will be our focus, with a special emphasis on End of Life issues and advocating for the medically vulnerable. Attendees will also enjoy live music from the talented JesTus Brothers, explore an array of vendor and informational booths, and partake in light refreshments.

ACTS Core Team Elections

There will be a meeting on Sunday, February 23rd, at 2:00 PM at the Parish Hall in Edcouch to elect an ACTS Core Team for the communities of St. Theresa and Our Lady of Guadalupe. All parishioners who have attended an ACTS Retreat are asked to attend this meeting to vote on the new Core members. If you would like to serve on the Core Team, please contact the parish secretary to add your name to the ballot. Please note that spouses cannot both serve on the Core Team simultaneously.

El domingo, 23 de febrero, a las 2pm se llevará a cabo una reunión en el salón parroquial de Edcouch para elegir un Equipo Core de ACTS para las comunidades de Santa Teresa y Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Se solicita a todos los feligreses que hayan asistido a un retiro de ACTS que asistan a esta reunión para votar por los nuevos miembros del Equipo Core. Si desea formar parte del equipo core, comuníquese con la secretaria de la parroquia para agregar su nombre a la boleta. Welcome to Our Newly Baptized Infants!

We are overjoyed to welcome the newest members of our parish community who have been baptized into the faith. Let us extend our heartfelt congratulations to these precious infants and their families:

As these children begin their journey of faith, we also recognize the important role of their parents and godparents. We pray that the Holy Spirit may grant them the grace and strength to be loving and faithful witnesses to these children during their formative years. May they guide and nurture these young souls in the ways of faith, helping them grow in love and knowledge of our Lord. Let us keep these families in our prayers and offer them our support as they embark on this beautiful journey.

Teaching Safety - Empowering God's Children

The job of ensuring children's safety is a challenging undertaking. The prevention of child sexual abuse requires more than adult awareness, education, and training about the nature and scope of the problem. We must also give our children the tools they need to overcome the advances of someone who intends to do them harm. The Teaching Safety program guide is a tool designed to assist parents and teachers in this important task. The Teaching Safety program is a vehicle through which parents, teachers, catechists, and youth ministers give children and young people the tools they need to protect themselves from those who might harm them.

Enseñar Seguridad: Empoderar a los Niños de Dios

El trabajo de garantizar la seguridad de los niños es una tarea desafiante. La prevención del abuso sexual infantil requiere más que la concienciación, la educación y la capacitación de los adultos sobre la naturaleza y el alcance del problema. También debemos darles a nuestros niños las herramientas que necesitan para superar los avances de alguien que pretende hacerles daño. La guía del programa Enseñar seguridad es una herramienta diseñada para ayudar a los padres y maestros en esta importante tarea. El programa Enseñar seguridad se ofrecerá a los estudiantes de los grados 6 a 12 la próxima semana.

Young Adult Gathering

All young adults 18 to 30 are invited to join our young adult ministry. We meet on the first and third Sunday's of the month from 5pm—7pm at the parish hall in Edcouch. Our Next meeting is on Sunday, July 7th. Join us for an evening of fun and faith sharing.

Todos los jóvenes adultos de 18 a 30 años están invitados a unirse a nuestro ministerio de jóvenes adultos. Nos reunimos el primer y tercer domingo del mes de 5pm a 7pm en el salón parroquial de Edcouch. Nuestra próxima reunión es el domingo, 7 de julio.
